With the cauliflower cooking ideas below, everyone, including dieters, can start to enjoy this food more than ever.

Roasted Cauliflower

Roasting cauliflower is a great way to infuse this veggie with plenty of flavor while still retaining its nutrients. Plus, it’s easy to do.

First, preheat your oven to 400°F and lightly oil a baking sheet. Then toss together 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and some olive oil. After you cut a head of cauliflower into florets, you can toss them in the mixture and then spread them out onto the baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.

Roast for 25 minutes and then enjoy!

Cauliflower Soup

Another one of the many nutritious cauliflower cooking ideas involves turning the veggie into a soup.

For this recipe, you’ll need a head of cauliflower that’s been cut into florets, a shredded carrot, ¼ cup each of chopped onion and chopped celery, 2.5 cups of water, 3 tablespoons each of flour and butter, ¾ teaspoon of salt, 1/8 teaspoon of pepper, 2 teaspoons of a bouillon cube, 2 cups of your preferred milk, 1 cup of cheese, and ½ teaspoon of hot sauce. Any dairy ingredients in the recipe can, of course, be replaced with their non-dairy alternatives.

Add the carrot, celery, water, onion, bouillon, and cauliflower to a pot, bring to a boil, and reduce the heat to let it simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. Then melt the butter in a saucepan, stirring in the salt, pepper, and flour until everything is smooth. Add the milk slowly and whisk everything together until it is brought to a boil. Stir and cook for 2 minutes and then reduce the heat once it has thickened. Stir in your cheese and hot pepper and then add this mixture to your cauliflower pot, combining everything together.

Puree your mixture in a blender until your soup is creamy. Enjoy while it’s warm.
